At Hampton Care Home, we believe that having a varied and fulfilling activity programme is one of the most important parts of daily life here. Our dedicated team work hard to create meaningful moments for our residents and strives to create an environment where every resident has a reason to look forward to the day.
This autumn, our team at Hampton Care Home is pulling out all the stops for our residents, with a range of exciting and engaging activities. From exploring pumpkin patches and garden centres to gentle exercise sessions, live entertainment and four-legged visits, there's something for everyone.
Our residents love getting creative and decorating the home with hand-made decorations every season. In the Halloween spirit, this year our residents will visit Hobbledown Heath pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins and create Halloween-themed crafts to put their stamp on their bedrooms or communal areas. At Hampton Care Home, we know just how important it is for residents to feel at home, and we're delighted to give them this opportunity.
Our residents are also keeping active with Phoebe this autumn, our new seated exercise coach, who has joined our activities programme. Phoebe's sessions are designed to support residents and encourage movement, all from the comfort of a chair. Phoebe's sessions support movement, mobility and wellbeing, and make exercises a social activity for everyone to enjoy.
Our regular four-legged visitors are always a highlight of the week. Jack and Basil, along with Peter and Monty, continue to drop in to see us, and their arrival never fails to brighten the home.
Time spent with animals can be wonderfully calming, especially for residents who shared their lives with pets of their own. Some love to stroke and fuss over our visitors, while others are happy to sit back and watch the fun. Either way, these visits bring comfort and company, and often spark fond memories and stories about much-loved pets from the past.
