We held a fantastic Family Fun Day on Saturday 1st September and with the sun on our side, it was a roaring success.

There were games for the young, and the old to get involved with, from hook a duck to beat the goalie, and children could even have their face painted! The BBQ also drew the crowds, with everyone tucking into sausages and burgers whilst enjoying the beautiful sunshine in the garden and the great music from Alistair on the keyboard!

Guests were kept refreshed and hydrated with teas, coffees and an array of cakes made by our very own chefs. With a showstopper of a cake being raffled off for Macmillan Cancer Research.

If that wasn’t enough, the home was joined by Animal Magic who introduced residents, family and staff to an array of animals. There were owls, rabbits, mice and dogs – who gave individual visits to those residents who were unable to attend the day.

All donations and sales from the event were donated to the Princess Alice Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Research. The home would like to thank everyone who helped on the day and of course all of our family and friends for their continued support.
