At Parkfield House Nursing Home we are looking to recruit Care Assistants who can help promote independence and dignity whilst positively enhancing the lives of the residents in our care.

These are full time day shift positions, working 33 hours per week or 44 hours per week (3 x 12 hour shifts or 4 x 12 hour shifts) from 8.00am to 8.00pm. 

Care Assistant – Key Duties:

  • Provide a high level of care to our residents ensuring and enhancing their wellbeing.
  • Provide personal care whilst maintaining a high level of hygiene.
  • Accurately recording observations in accordance with the resident’s conditions actively informing the Senior Nurse on duty of any changes and responding accordingly.
  • Supporting our residents to maintain their independence.
  • Identifying and assisting with residents’ needs.
  • Serving meals.
  • Assisting our residents as necessary.

Care Assistant – Requirements:

  • Previous experience gained within the Healthcare sector.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 is desirable.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
  • A caring personality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written form.
