Sarita Baxter

Learning & Development Manager

In her early career, Sarita started as a support worker at a Kent-based home for children with learning disabilities. She then transitioned into a quality control inspector role, overseeing children’s care homes throughout the county. In this capacity, she evaluated staff competence and identified training needs, often conducting training sessions herself.

Sarita obtained her qualifications as a trainer, specialising in adult care for individuals with learning difficulties. She served multiple residential care homes across the southern region and London, delivering training on diverse topics including autism, epilepsy, and diabetes. With expertise in over 25 subjects, including children’s safeguarding and behaviour management, Sarita became a go-to trainer within the care sector.

In 2022, Sarita joined Canford Healthcare as a regional trainer and later advanced to the position of manager in 2024. In her current role, she oversees the training and professional growth of staff across Canford Healthcare homes and support offices. Collaborating with managers, Sarita ensures that training initiatives align with organisational goals, emphasising the direct link between comprehensive training and high-quality resident care.
